Comments and Feedback from WERC

HMC Costa Rica Project Team truly appreciates kindness and helpful comments and feedback from 2012 Environmental Design Contest. Especially, we express our deepest thanks to Professor Rapisand at University of Texas/El Paso for his enthusiastic interests and invaluable feedback.

  • Capacity factor calculation based on theoretical data.
  • Rat might damage PVC pipe (considering metal pipe)
  • nrel.gov National Renewable Energy Laboratory
  • Calculate kw/cost (cost of generator+equipment+inverter+battery)
    • Compare kw/cost to other generators (nuclear, huge dam) to show efficiency of micro hydro turbine.
  • For off-grid system, battery companies
  • Try to set our goals in phases such as
    • Phase 1 : Case Study in Baru by on grid system
    • Phase 2 : Data Analysis on Telire Site
    • Phase 3 : Systemize cost/deploy unit
    • Phase 4 : Create Social Benefit in Costa Rica
  • Brochure/Handout is always useful
